Bathroom Remodeling in Stark County
A bathroom that is dated, cramped, or hiding water damage behind the tile is not a project you want to pay for twice. In older Stark and Summit County homes the plumbing is often the hard part. Cast iron is difficult to move if you are changing a layout, and years of slow leaks mean the subfloor underneath frequently needs replacing before anything new goes in. We open walls before we quote, so what is behind them is a known number instead of a mid-project phone call.
The other thing that goes wrong has nothing to do with construction. People pick two tiles they like, follow whatever is trending, and end up in a bathroom they do not love. We work with suppliers who will put a real design in front of you first, so you are choosing from something you can see.
A mid-size full remodel, around 40 square feet, runs $20,000 to $35,000. A cosmetic refresh starts at $8,000 to $15,000. Large or high-end builds run $35,000 to $60,000 and up. We build with Schluter waterproofing systems, and Joseph trained at Schluter's Innovation Workshop.
What falls under bathroom remodeling
Shower Remodeling and Tub-to-Shower Conversions
Tile, acrylic or fiberglass, and the difference matters more than most homeowners expect. Fiberglass is the budget option and it discolors and scratches sooner than people plan for. Acrylic is the middle ground, low maintenance, and it holds its look far longer. Tile is the premium end, fully customizable, and it lasts when the waterproofing behind it is done properly. A conversion runs $7,500 to $15,000 depending on which of those you choose and what we find behind the wall. One to two weeks for a surround, two to three for custom tile.
Accessibility and Aging-in-Place Upgrades
A curbless entry means walking straight in off the floor with nothing to step over, which matters if you use a cane, a walker, or are simply planning ahead. Even when grab bars are not needed yet, we put solid blocking behind the walls during the build, so they can be added later by screwing into real studs rather than hoping for the best. If stepping over a tub has become the risky part of somebody's day, this is the fix.
Tile Work
Tile fails for two reasons and neither is the tile. Water gets behind it because the waterproofing was skipped or rushed, or the subfloor was never leveled so nothing drains where it should. We prep and level the substrate first and we build with Schluter systems behind the surface. That is the part nobody sees and the only part that decides whether it is still sound in fifteen years.
Heated Floors
A heated floor is the one upgrade people mention every winter afterwards, and it only makes sense to install during a remodel while the floor is already open. It runs under tile as part of the waterproofing assembly rather than as an afterthought, which is why it is worth deciding on early rather than wishing for it later.

Kitchen Remodeling in Stark County
Kitchen projects go wrong when the layout, the cabinets and the trades are managed by three different people who have never met. One contractor runs your whole kitchen here, from the first measurement to the last piece of trim, with licensed plumbers and electricians brought in as they are needed.
The decision homeowners actually struggle with is not cabinets or countertops. It is whether to move anything, and whether the space will work once they do. Imagining a layout change is much harder than looking at one, so we work with cabinet suppliers who will build a full 3D rendering of your kitchen before anything is ordered. If you need more help than that, we bring in a designer who takes you through layout, cabinets, countertops and flooring together.
Most Stark County kitchens run $35,000 to $65,000, with entry-level projects at $15,000 to $30,000 and high-end builds from $70,000 to $150,000 and up. One piece of advice that comes up on nearly every job: put the money in a stone countertop. Quartz or granite is more up front and it outlasts the alternative by enough to make the decision easy.
One local note worth planning around. Calls come in every September and October from people wanting a kitchen finished by Christmas, and when everyone calls at once lead times stretch. If you want it done for the holidays, start the conversation in summer.
What falls under kitchen remodeling
Custom Cabinetry
Cabinets are usually the largest line on a kitchen quote and the one people decide fastest, which is backwards. We work through storage first, what you actually reach for and how often, then the doors and finishes. Our suppliers produce a 3D rendering so you are approving a kitchen you can see rather than a plan you are picturing.
Open-Concept Conversions
Taking a wall out changes everything downstream: whether the wall is carrying load, where the plumbing and electrical inside it have to go, how the ceiling gets patched, and whether the floors will ever match across the join. We work out the structural answer before you fall in love with the idea, so the number you get includes the parts that are not visible in the inspiration photo.

What Local Homes Actually Throw At You
Septic capacity decides your basement bedroom
In Stark County the number of bedrooms a house can have is tied to septic capacity, not to how many bathrooms you add. Homeowners find that out after they have paid for drawings. We check it first, because it is the difference between a guest room and an expensive rec room.
Ohio code and basement egress
Any basement bedroom without a walkout needs an egress window. That is a structural and excavation cost rather than a finish cost, and it belongs in the number before you start rather than after.
Cast iron, plaster and what is under the floor
Older homes here often have cast iron drain lines, which are considerably harder to move if you are changing a bathroom layout. Plaster instead of drywall. Rotted subfloor under a shower that looked fine from above. None of that is unusual and all of it is cheaper to find before a quote than during a build.
Why Homeowners Choose Us
A Better Remodeling Experience, From Start to Finish
We built our process around one goal: making your home improvement experience easier, clearer, and more professional than anything you've experienced before.
One Year Craftsmanship Warranty
If something we installed fails within a year, we come back and fix it at no labor cost to you. Written terms, not a handshake, so you know what is covered before you sign.
Your Materials Are Here Before We Start
We do not open a wall until everything for your job is ordered and on hand. That is how a two week bathroom stays a two week bathroom instead of stretching into two months waiting on a vanity.
We Stay Until It Is Finished
One project at a time, worked straight through. Our crew is not on your job for three days and then somewhere else for a week, and you are never left guessing when someone is coming back.
You See Real Numbers Before We Visit
Our pricing is published on this site. A mid-size full bathroom runs $20,000 to $35,000, a basic finished basement $35,000 to $60,000. If that is not your range, you have not wasted an afternoon finding out.
Your Home Is Protected
Floors covered, dust contained, and the jobsite cleaned at the end of every day. You are living here while we work and we build like it.
Stark County Expertise
Septic capacity decides how many bedrooms your basement can have here, not the bathroom count. Local code and local houses, known before we quote.
